Hi all!
Any long-time followers will know that I have an admiration for Patrick Stump, the lead singer of Fall Out Boy. Well, today I discovered that it IS him singing on the chorus of Cupid's Chokehold by Gym Class Heroes. I had had a suspicion before; he has a very distinctive voice. But today it was confirmed by a simple look on iTunes. I love iTunes. It's so handy. ALSO, I discovered that Rolling Stone do an awesome free video podcast of various artists doing acoustic sessions, which is quite cool. So I downloaded a Patrick Stump one, a Ting Tings one and a Veronicas one. To be honest, the Veronicas' acoustic stuff isn't that great, 'cause they're always just a semitone or two apart from each other, which makes it sound annoyingly clashy. Patrick Stump was OK though - He sings really high! Falsetto, I believe it's called. Better than the Veronicas, definitely. He should be a jazz singer. And the Ting Tings were great as well; considering a lot of their stuff is electrically-based, their acoustic version of "Shut Up and Let Me Go" turned out very... soulful. So yeah, anyone after free music should definitely get that podcast.
Other than that, not much to report. Had a haircut today. Missing my friends. Oh, and THE ROGUE TRADERS HAVE CHOSEN THEIR NEW LEAD SINGER!!!! I won't comment on that 'till I know who it is, but it's pretty exciting. Still haven't got their third album though; I'll need to locate it before the fourth comes out. So yeah, live long and prosper, and look forward to Post 100 - It's going to be one to remember!
See ya 'round!
Jack
